How to Order Coursepacks

 

For the 2024 Summer and Fall semesters, teacher coursepack orders will be submitted through Eastman Systems.  Students can purchase their coursepacks directly on the Eastman website and will be notified once their order is available for pick-up at the Vanier Co-op bookstore. Deadline to submit:
  • Summer Semester: before May 27, 2024
  • Fall Semester: before June 30th

 

Step 1:

  • Review the Reproduction rights licence for colleges and CEGEPs at COPIBEC.

  • Include a table of contents with each of your citations noting the author’s name, work title, chapter title or number, the publisher and year of publication, and the page numbers you wish to include.  Important:  Always include the name or number of the chapter even if you are only using a part of it.  Simply including ‘excerpt’ is not acceptable.

    Example:

    Higonnet, Anne. “Chapter Two.” 31-49. Pictures of Innocence: The History and Crisis of Ideal Childhood. New York: Thames and Hudson Ltd. 1998.

    Please note that although you may choose to include two or more consecutive chapters, the page ranges must be separated. 

    Example:

    Higonnet, Anne. “Chapter Two” and “Chapter Three” 31-49, 50-71. Pictures of Innocence: The History and Crisis of Ideal Childhood. New York: Thames and Hudson Ltd. 1998.

Step 2: 

Send your coursepack PDF file(s), including any additional or revised pages in pdf format  to info@eastman.ca  and include the information below. 

** Note: **  If you only have the hard copy of your coursepack available, you may bring it to the Vanier Co-op bookstore where it will be picked up by an Eastman representative for scanning to PDF. Be sure to submit your order to info@eastman.ca with the information below and indicate your original hard copy is available for pick-up at the bookstore.  It will be returned to the bookstore once scanned.  You may come and pick it up, or we can store it here in our coursepack archives.

Information to include within the body of your email:

  • Teacher name
  • Teacher phone
  • Number of desk copies required (0-2)
  • Course code
  • Section code
  • Course title
  • Coursepack title
  • Teacher name for cover
  • Term (Summer or Fall 2024)
  • Indicate if the coursepack is:
    • New
    • Revised reprint of previous semester
    • Exact reprint of previous semester
       
  • Indicate if the coursepack is required or optional
