HOW TO GET YOUR BOOKS


 

What do you need in hand right now? 

First and foremost, where is your list? 

In order to buy your books, you need to know which books you need. 

It is your responsability to know which books are required for each of your classes. 

Make sure you have the list of books your teacher(s) have given you. 

 


  BEFORE ENTERING THE STORE

 

On the bottom right corner, you'll see the icon (red/white magnifying glass) that was feature in this title.

For every book on your list, enter the title, and/or the name of the author. 

This will let you know if your book is available or not. 

 


BUYING IN-STORE

When you enter the store, the red pillars on your right side of the store will indicate where to find your books. 

On each pillar, there is a list of course subjects. 

Find your book based on what class it's for. 


 

BUYING ONLINE

If you are a member of Jake's, make sure you are logged in before you checkout. 

If you are not a member yet, you can come in-store to sign up. 

 

If you want to buy online, add your books to your cart, and checkout. 

From there, you will be prompted to create an account if you don't have one. 

 

Once you've signed up, you'll be able to decide if you want your order shipped or if you want to pick it up in-store. 

You will receive a message once your order is ready to pick up in-store/if it has been shipped.

 


How to order online

We usually deliver within 2-to-5 business days (E-books take less time to process).

This will make sure we provide you with the right books. Don't forget: we have a FINAL SALE policy!


 

How to pick-up your order in-store

You will receive an email or a text to let you know your order is ready for pick-up. 

This email will come with a code, bring it into the store to pick-up your order.


 

How to deal with pre-orders

IF YOUR COURSEPACKS ARE OUT OF STOCK, THEY CAN ONLY BE PRE-ORDERED BY COMING INTO THE STORE. YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL OR A TEXT WHEN YOUR ORDER IS READY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.

This email will come with a code, bring it into the store to pick-up your order.

*Keep in mind, in any circumstance, it is easier for us to help you if you have a receipt. (NO PHOTOS OF RECEIPTS ARE ALLOWED).*

 

In-store purchase:

Books, Course Packs, Retail, & General Merchandise:

 

  • All books, course packs, office supplies, clothing, special orders, and miscellaneous items are stricly final sale. Items in PERFECT CONDITION can be exchanged within 10 calendar days of the purchase. 
  • For books: If you drop your course, please bring us proof (from the registrarBEFORE THE LAST DAY OF THE DROP/ADD PERIOD as well as your receipt and we will refund your books IF they are in resellable conditon.

 

Online purchase:

Books, Course Packs, Retail, & General Merchandise: 

 

  • In every Web Order mailer, there is a physical copy of the receipt in addition to one sent to your e-mail. If you need to refund your items, we would need either the physical or digital receipt.
  • All books, course packs, office supplies, clothing, special orders and miscellaneous items are stricly final sale. Items in PERFECT CONDITION can be exchanged within 10 calendar days of the purchase.
